D. Y. Patil Medical College

Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre, was established in 1996. It was Dr. P. D. Patil, Chancellor, Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pimpri, Pune’s vision and desire to set up one of the best College, Hospital and Research Centre in Maharashtra and across the country. His efforts bore fruit and with the blessings of Hon’ble Dr. D. Y. Patil, Ex-Governor, Bihar and Tripura the Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital and Research Centre was started.

Dr. D. Y. Patil Medical College, Hospital & Research Centre is a constituent unit of Dr. D. Y. Patil Vidyapeeth, Pune, which is a NAAC re-accredited Vidyapeeth with 3.62 CGPA on four point scale at A Grade in the year 2015 (2nd Cycle) and ISO 9001:2008 certified and ISO 9001-2015 certified ‘Deemed to be University’ famously known as DPU.

DPU College Hospital & Research Centre, Pimpri, Pune is considered one of the avant-garde teaching and research institutions in the country, recognized by the Medical Council of India.

The Hospital & Research Centre is built in an area covering 7, 25,000 sq. ft. The slick hospital has the best infrastructure and is possibly at par with the best in the world. Today, the facility boasts of 61 wards with 2,000 beds dedicated to different specialities, OPDs (basic and super speciality), 18 modular operation theatres, 175 ICU beds, 64 private rooms, 2 Cathlabs, EP laboratory, Hi-Tech Robotic Surgery Centre, 3 Tesla- Vida- MRI, 128 Slice CT Scan. Also available are Digital X-ray machines, Digital Mammography Machine, Color Doppler, CSSD, Endoscopy, Sonography machines and D.S.A. The Institute also provides free ambulance pickup within Pune city and a bouquet of other facilities for the convenience of patients. There are also other specialised services and a wellness centre at the Hospital and Research Centre.

DPU has been recognized as an institution with academic heritage, World class facility, modern & state of the art infrastructure, library, computer and lab facility, International teaching pedagogies and dynamic research culture.
